Web 2.0 has been around for quite a while yet many businesses have still to jump on board.  The truth is that those organisations that have not engaged in the conversation online will be loosing market share and falling behind.  Social media is that important.

Engaging with your customers is essential these days and web 2.0 is the means by which companies are talking.  Gone are the days of the one sided communication channel, today conversations are happening online all over the world and some of these conversations are discussing your company and your product or service.  It makes sense therefore that any business strategy would involve listening to these conversations and then actually participating in them.
